We are all aware of a product generally called "bubblegum".
Bubblegum can take several forms, colors and shapes, but in general it is a small brick of pinkish substance that has a unique flavor. And you can blow bubbles with it. Out of your mouth.
However, there are downsides to chewing bubblegum, which we will discuss here.
Wear and tear on jaw tissue and teeth. Our chewing structure is not indestructable and has a limited wear cycle. Chewing on a rubbery, sticky substance day after day can affect the health of our teeth and potentially cause TMJ syndrome.
"Popping sound". Bubblegum can generally be blown into a bubble with a subsequent POP sound. The affect of the popping sound on audio nerves, not to mention the nerves of people around us, may potentially result in physical harm.
IT'S PINK. Pink is by its very nature an unnatural color. It is a result of dyes and other coloring playing with our occular system, resulting in an artificial mental perception of this color. Those sensitive to mental manipulation may find regular proximity to this color to be somewhat unnerving and disquieting.
Thus we come down to the original question:
Is bubblegum worth the effort?
Answer: Of course it is. What a silly question.
